Rules and Formats

Welcome to the official rules and Formats page for the Free State Dart League. Here, you will find all the necessary information regarding our league play. We aim to ensure fair competition and an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Please read through these guidelines carefully to understand our game formats, conduct expectations, and common terminology used.

Rules

  • Every Match will begin and end with a handshake/fist bump. Sportsmanship is a requirement and what makes this community special.
  • Excessive drunkenness or general assholery will result in suspension/ban per the commissioners discretion.
  • Teams will be assigned divisions based on known performance. If new, we will evaluate as needed. This is to promote healthy competition
  • Do not purposefully distract or throw off an opponent when they are throwing.
  • Drink, smoke, and bathroom breaks are permitted. Keep them infrequent and brief to not disturb game flow.
  • Insert score before removing the darts.
  • Arrive at scheduled location and on time unless discussed beforehand
  • All contact regarding subs and/or rescheduling must conclude by 5pm day of match or you will be put down as a forfeit.
  • Substitutes are encouraged. Reach out to Shylo Evans if you need help finding one or need one added to your team.
  • Home team will provide the tablet to score on Dartconnect.com
  • Report any issues with tech, members, or locations ASAP. This includes scoring and formatting errors.
  • Lower divisions will have a "no bust rule." If on 2 or "box," after 4 complete rounds per team, hitting a single 1 will not result in a bust in order to keep the flow of the game going.
  • Pointing will not be discouraged or found to be offensive when playing cricket.
